Buyer's Stamp Duty in Singapore
Every buyer of a Singapore home pays Buyer's Stamp Duty on the purchase price or the market value, whichever is higher. For residential property the rate rises in bands from 1% on the first $180,000 to 6% above $3 million, so a $1.5 million home pays $44,600. You pay it within 14 days of signing the contract.

- $1,500,000 condo: $24,600 + $20,000 = $44,600.
- $4,500,100 landed home, the example IRAS gives: $209,606.
